Job Description — Department Head – FMCG / Grocery / Produce Position Title Department Head – FMCG / Grocery / Produce Location [Wadi Al Jizi] Employment Type Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Department Head to manage the FMCG, Grocery, or Produce section of the store. The ideal candidate will oversee daily department operations, manage inventory and staff, ensure product availability and freshness, and drive sales while maintaining high customer service standards. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily operations of the FMCG/Grocery/Produce department * Ensure proper stock availability, product rotation, and freshness standards * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment * Supervise department staff, assign duties, and monitor performance * Maintain merchandising, display, and pricing standards * Achieve departmental sales and profitability targets * Monitor waste control and minimize product losses * Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally * Coordinate with suppliers and store management for smooth operations * Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and company policies * Prepare sales, stock, and performance reports * Conduct staff training and maintain team productivity Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or related field * Strong knowledge of FMCG, grocery, or fresh produce operations * Excellent leadership and communication skills * Knowledge of inventory and retail management systems * Ability to manage teams and achieve sales targets * Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems Preferred Skills * Inventory and stock management * Merchandising and category management * Team leadership and staff supervision * Sales planning and target achievement * Customer service and problem-solving skills * Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Experience * 3–7 years of experience in supermarket, hypermarket, or retail operations * Prior experience in FMCG, grocery, or produce department management preferred Salary & Benefits * Competitive salary package * Performance incentives * Health insurance * Annual leave and travel allowance * Career growth opportunities * Other company benefits as per policy
